Can boys also seek admission to AIMCW?

No. AIMCW is an all-girls institute and hence a male candidate cannot seek admission to the institute.

What about those boys who aspire to join the armed forces?

Male candidates who aspire to join the armed forces can seek admissions to other programs in AUUP. Simultaneously they can join Amity SSB Academy. Amity SSB Academy has the facilities to train the students for the written entrance exams as well as SSB interviews. In addition the officers of ASSBA will be able to provide all the information about defense forces to enable a student to make considered decisions.

How is your program different from those conducted by other institutes?

AIMCW is a one of its own kind of institute across India. It is the only institute that trains women candidates who wish to serve their motherland in the most direct manner that is, by becoming an Army officer, while conferring them with either a B.A (General) (Honors/Research) or B.Sc. (General) (Honors/Research).

Will a girl student on completion of degree automatically get absorbed in the Army?

To get into the army, a candidate needs to pass written entrance exam and the SSB interview. There after she has to undergo the medical examination successfully. A merit list is prepared on the all India basis. A candidate who has cleared all these stages then is called for training in the academy. However the curriculum at AIMCW is such that the student is made to develop her personality and become competent by the time she gets into the final year.

What are the activities undertaken in this institute which help in the development of the personality of an AIMCW student?

Large number of Activities are undertaken in the AIMCW. Some of the activities are as under;

  • Conduct of Personality Enhancement courses
  • Conduct of Military Orientation courses
  • Conduct of Mock Interviews
  • Conduct of Mock Tests
  • Conduct of Psychological Tests
  • Conduct of Adventure Activities

What are the options available to a girl who is not able to get into the defence forces?

All the options that are available to a graduate student are available to an AIMCW student also. She can apply  for Higher Education,( Masters in Political Science, History, Applied Psychology, Sociology, MBA, B.Ed,) and Competitive Exams. She can also apply for a number of corporate and government jobs.

At the time of admission, the student is an aspirant for the defense forces  but changes her mind later. Is that permissible?

– The Institute does not take any undertaking and the students are free to pursue as per their liking, aptitude and ability. However the student will be guided, counseled and assisted by the experts/faculty of the institute.
