AIMCW organized a motivational/Educational visit to Army Air Defence Unit, Delhi Cantt on 13 february, 2025. The students of Semester-II, Semester IV and Semester VI participated in the excursion.
ACTIVITY UNDERTAKEN
Amity Indian Military College for Women on 13 february, 2025 with 30 students visited the Army Air Defence Unit, Delhi Cantt. Dr Pawan Kumar, Dr Apeksha Gandotra, Ms. Avantika Johri and Subedar Chatar Singh accompanied the students.
Upon arrival, students were welcomed by defence personnel and given an introductory briefing about the Army Air Defence. A brief overview of the Indian Air Defence System and its significance was shared. Students visited the exhibition area, where various air defence weapons, equipment, ammunition and radar systems were displayed.
Students were allowed to experience a simulated environment showcasing air defence drills and emergency response mechanisms. Hands-on experience with flight simulation and radar tracking technology was provided. The students explored the Air Defence Museum, which displayed historical artefacts, and defence strategies from past conflicts.
The students were shown a real military tank. The military personnel explained the features, capabilities, and importance of tanks in combat. Students had the opportunity to go inside the tank, experiencing first-hand
