Highlights of the Event:
On the 22nd of October, a commendable initiative was undertaken to support the below poverty line (BPL) population by distributing stationery items. This effort was spearheaded by a group of dedicated students who pooled their resources to contribute to this cause.
The event was organized in collaboration with the NGO Gunj, which played a crucial role in ensuring the donations reached the intended beneficiaries. The initiative was coordinated by Dr. Pawan Kumar, with the active involvement and guidance of Dr. Deepti Sharma, Dr. Apeksha Gondotra, and Ms. Avantika Johri. A total of 90 underprivileged children were the recipients of hampers filled with essential stationery items and snacks, which were thoughtfully curated to support their educational needs and provide some nourishment.
The event not only made a tangible difference in the lives of these children but also left a lasting impact on the students who participated. It gave them a valuable opportunity to connect with the harsh realities faced by the less fortunate, fostering a deeper sense of empathy and social responsibility. Through this experience, the students grew more sensitive and kind, gaining a renewed commitment to community service. Overall, the event was a resounding success, highlighting the collective power of compassion and generosity in making a positive difference in the world.
